Today is my last day in Phoenix, I hook up the Jeep and head towards Quartzite tomorrow morning. John and I wrapped all the projects on his RV and I managed to check everything off my list as well. Hard to believe I’ll
Just before midnight on New Years Eve in Flagstaff waiting for the pinecone to drop. It was a great way to ring in 2018 with family and new friends!
have been here nearly six weeks, the time has flown by. It’s been so nice to catch back up with family and friends, but I definitely feel the pull to get moving again. I’ll be boondocking for probably the next five weeks so today will be stock up day. I was able to get in one more Jeep trip this past weekend. The setup is working great and it is going to add a whole new dimension to my travels. Mixing in the excursions out in the Interceptor (my corny Jeep name to go along with the Black Pearl) will be exciting. Hopefully, the mud dries up from the rain last night here at my moochdocking spot before I set the wheels in motions tomorrow!
CC helping me figure out my new camera lens. For 2018 I plan to try and improve my photography skills
This puzzle was a PITA with wavy edges, pieces that do no even interlock and open cutouts. But, it is my favorite place on Earth!!
Luckily Patrick and Marissa helped me finish this thing off. Saving this one for my sister-in-law Linda!
CC enjoying the sunset overlooking Roosevelt Lake
The kitchen setup in the Jeep is working flawlessly. Think only a few minor tweaks and it will be perfect
Fully setup on the ridge above Roosevelt Lake. It was quite the view and perfect weather
Cool old homestead along the 288. They had a pretty incredible view, so fun to imagine what life would have been like out here so many years ago
I mean how could you beat this view out your window every morning?
They even had a freakn’ swimming pool! These guys had the life…
Camp up on Four Peaks. Had the entire place to ourselves, there was not anyone else camping within several miles
I love this shot of our camp in the evening. Makes we want to go back out there right now!!
More views on views! I should submit these photos to Jeep…
Had a last lunch with my youngest son Patrick before heading out of town. And of course one last Macayos’ cheese crisp as well!
Took a Jeep day trip with friends to explore the coves area around Saguaro Lake. The Jeeps look like a little group of Skittles with all the colors! Hum, seems like alot of my photos this winter have Four Peaks in them…
Visited an “office complex” a friend I knew who was really into railroads put together many years ago. It consists of several old cabooses that were renovated into offices. Such a cool concept and they were amazing. Unfortunately, looks like they are in bad disrepair now and not being used as offices any longer. So sad, I loved this place.
